Aiken County and Friends of the Aiken County Public Library can only provide so much financial support for the renovation. The library needs the support of everyone in whatever amount they can afford. Because Friends of the Aiken County Public Library is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Membership dues, book sales, special fund-raising activities, donations, and an Endowment Fund all enable the Friends to provide funding for critical library needs beyond the County’s ability. Thanks to the generosity of Mr. H.W. Dibble and Mrs. Shirley Struthers’s estates, the Friends Endowment Fund was created. It provides long-term funding to supplement county funds. The principle must remain intact to provide dependable income in perpetuity.
Buy a brick to build a better library
Invest as little as $100 in Aiken’s future and have your name or that of a loved one engraved on a brick at the base of the beautiful, new library steps.
There are few things stronger than the emotional bond between grandparents and their grandchildren. The Gallery enables you to permanently share that bond with your grandchildren.
